im thinking about getting a sony vaio. does anyone own one? what are the pros and cons of this computer? im looking for something i can use for school. writing papers, researching. any help is greatly appreciated! thanks! :)

(all of my sisters and some relatives are using sony vaio)
its good i dont see any problems
i like mine it has built-in cam and mic
its 120 GB 1 GB RAM 1.73 GHz Vista OS
it also have dvd,sd,usb,bluetooth,infrared

After endorsing brands like Sony Vaio, Head and Shoulders and Airtel, Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor is taking on the mobile phone industry as she has decided to become the face of Sony Ericsson's XPERIA and Vivaz range.

During the press conference in New Delhi, Bebo posed for the cameras and happily showed off the new phones with cool graphics and lots of gadgets!

When the actress signed on to become a size zero model for Sony Vaio's new series of super thin 'Size Zero' laptops, she said that "I think in India, size zero means being slim. Every girl wants to be really slim and I think I am quite slim. India's size zero is associated with me and I am proud of that."

I purchased this model after debating over another model that I had purchased for my son. The very first day it displayed a “No Operating System found” message on a black screen. My husband told me to immediately return it. I gave it some time thinking it was a fluke. NOPE—tonight it began making a loud noise—then a blue error screen quickly disappeared to a black screen “No operating system found” message. I contacted SONY and was told this was hard-drive and they could not help me over the phone. It was suggested that I return the model for a new one. WELL—today is ONE DAY TOO LATE to return to AMAZON. Could I be any luckier? I would advise you to carefully examine the RETURN POLICY to AMAZON. After reading this tonight–I am thinking that I made a costly mistake to purchase a computer from Amazon and this model might have been a mistake as well.
